Our patients are cared for by a professional and friendly staff who help them achieve optimal oral health. To meet your specific needs both financially and medically, VCU Dental Care offers three levels of service in general dentistry. If cost is your major concern, our student practices provide the most affordable care, but you will need to allow extra time for an appointment. If your time is precious, our faculty private practice appointments typically last 45 minutes. If your needs fall somewhere in between, take a look at our specialty and graduate education practices. Our specialty practices can help with a wide range of dental care, all at a fraction of the cost of private practice. Our services General dentistry Pediatric dentistry Emergency care Braces Cosmetic care Gum disease treatment Facial and jaw pain Implants, crowns and bridges Oral and facial surgery Root canals Pathology services Make an appointment » White Coat Ceremony The VCU School of Dentistry’s White Coat Ceremony symbolizes dental and dental hygiene students’ entrance into the health-care profession of dentistry and marks their transition from the study of preclinical to clinical health sciences. This year's ceremony will take place Friday, February 28 from 2 - 4 p.m. at the Richmond Marriott Downtown . Light refreshments will be served after the ceremony. Valet parking will be available that day ranging from $15 to $30 depending on length of stay. Each member in the D.D.S. Class of 2022 and Dental Hygiene Class of 2021 will receive 5 tickets for invited friends and family to join them in celebrating this important event. Students participating in the ceremony do not need a ticket to enter. Students should arrive no later than 1:15 p.m. with their white coats pressed and ready for presentation. Students should enter the hotel from the fifth street entrance. Upon arrival, proceed to the Salon G which is located next to the Ballroom. Dress code for the men - dress shirt and tie with dress slacks, for the ladies - nice dress or sweater/blouse and dress slacks. Guests should proceed to the Grand Ballroom to locate seating. Based on seating capacity and fire safety regulations, all invited guests must have a ticket to enter the Ballroom. Tickets will be distributed Monday, Feb. 24 outside the Crockett Lounge from 12 - 2 p.m. If you are unable to pick up your tickets during that time, please see Cindy Cheely in the Dean’s Office (Lyons 450) any time before Friday, February 28 to pick up your tickets.
